Who we are

Peptide Data is the operator of this site. Content is compiled by an automated research agent and reviewed by a human editorial lead before publication. For any privacy query, email hello@peptide.data.

What we collect

Anonymous analytics

We run a first-party tracker that records page views. Each event stores the path viewed, an anonymous visitor identifier and session identifier (both random UUIDs), the referring page, and any UTM parameters in the URL. No cookies are set. We do not collect or store IP addresses, names, email addresses, or any other personal data through the tracker.

The visitor and session identifiers live in your browser's local and session storage — they are not sent to any third party. See our cookies policy for detail.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the weekly briefing or download the starter guide, we store the email address you submit. That is the only personal data the newsletter collects.

How we use it

  • Analytics — to understand which compounds and guides are read, so we can prioritise editorial work. Aggregated, anonymous counts only.
  • Email — to send the briefing and guide you asked for. One welcome email, then the weekly digest. Unsubscribe in one click.

Legal basis (UK GDPR)

  • Anonymous analytics — our legitimate interest in improving the reference.
  • Newsletter email — your consent, given at sign-up and withdrawable at any time.

Sharing and storage

We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties. Analytics events and newsletter addresses are stored in our own database (Google Firestore, hosted in the EU). We use no advertising networks, no social-media embeds, and no third-party analytics or tracking scripts.

Retention

Anonymous analytics events are retained for up to 24 months. Your newsletter email is kept until you unsubscribe, after which it is removed.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or erase the personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict its processing. Email hello@peptide.data and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.

Research use only

This is a research reference, not a prescriber. The compounds covered are studied in preclinical and published research and are not licensed for human consumption in the UK. Nothing on this site is medical advice or an instruction to self-administer.
